Artist Statement  

My life suffered a great emotional, cultural and vocational impact when I decided to leave Chile to come to Germany. This led me to an unconscious search for balance and tranquility in what was foreign, different and new.

That search process and its development which begins with nonexistence and concludes with a beautiful creation have helped me to find calm and hope in this new life of a foreign artist.

Observing the world with all my senses, capturing what’s universal to make it personal; solitary places, old objects, the everyday. These are the foundations of my paintings; where intense red, turquoise and brown colors subtly move through the composition’s passages in order to recreate a new reality.

My work constantly reminds me of how la belleza exists wherever we decide to find it.
